A 55-Year Legacy of Leadership
The MDNA has a distinguished history as a leader in the metalworking industry for 55 years. This international, nonprofit trade association was established in 1941 to assure buyers of the integrity and reliability of used machinery dealers. Today it represents more than 450 member firms with 1,000 executives throughout the world.
Code of Ethics
The foundation of MDNA is its Code of Ethics. As a condition of membership, MDNA dealers agree to abide, unequivocally, by the terms of the Code and renew this pledge annually. The Code was written by member dealers and is policed by the association's membership — with severe violations resulting in expulsion.
AMEA — Accredited Appraisers
MDNA's affiliate, the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA), accredits and certifies metalworking machinery appraisal professionals through continuing education, written testing, and peer review — setting the standard for the industry.
Industry Resources
MDNA publishes the Serial Number Reference Book for Metalworking Machinery — an essential resource for anyone buying, selling, or appraising metalworking equipment. Its subsidiary, Machinery Information Systems, Inc. (MIS), has published LOCATOR® of Used Machinery for over 26 years.
14 Chapters Worldwide
MDNA is comprised of 14 chapters — 12 in the United States and one each in Canada and Europe — bringing industry-wide activities and local programs to members across the globe.
Scholarship Fund
Through the MDNA Austin D. Lucas Scholarship Fund, the association supports higher education for the children of member firm employees — investing in the next generation of the industry.
